Overview of Our Approach

We believe there are three key factors in ensuring success:

  1. Determining the right competences for the job.
  2. Selecting appropriate activities to test for these competences.
  3. Skilled Assessors.

We feel it is really important to treat all applicants with the greatest respect throughout the process, especially where we are selecting for promotion, not just because of any previous service to the organisation, but also because insensitive handling will lead to senior employees becoming demotivated. Our business methodology ensures that our clients are in control of the materials delivered at all stages. We will also be keen to explore how we might work in partnership with you and ensure that we transfer the knowledge and skills to internal colleagues to continue with the project on their own.

To achieve these critical success factors, we utilise a process that can involve:

  1. Analysis of the job in question, to identify the competences required by the successful applicant.
  2. Initial sift of applicants, if required. This ensures the Centre is manageable, but still provides sufficient high calibre applicants.
  3. Full participant briefing, administration of any ability and psychometric tests.
  4. Assessor Training.
  5. An Assessment/ Development Centre comprising a range of activities that are well tested in other organisations.
  6. An opportunity for all applicants to receive feedback on their performance after the Centre.
